Credits
She Calls speaks in the voice of a person at the end of life who is developing a peaceful relationship with Death, that goddess of transformation. The elipses… depict the secrets death shares at this time. Alane Crowomyn wrote this piece and Donna sang it beautifully in this solo track. You can find it on our album Crow Magic (track 21), available here.
Lyrics
In the blue of the evening She calls, pause a while and hear…
In the glowing horizon she shines, the first star tells me…
As the last of the setting sunshine bathes my upraised hands
I am filled with a knowing as the darkness gathers the land
In the dusk of my lifetime She calls, more and more, I hear…
As the darkness deepens to black, Blessed Death whispers…
