First and foremost, the Crow Women are a Wiccan coven. We are a sisterhood that celebrates the Goddess and our earth-based spirituality with music (and other forms of art). Secondly, we are a Pagan choir. Finally, we all have our mundane lives to keep us going.
What we are not: investment bankers, trust funders, financial alchemists, professional athletes, real estate developers, or bank robbers. We are retired professors, journalists, teachers, piano tuners, artists, social workers, sex therapists, med techs, and safety coordinators. Our musical recordings are a labor of love, and they are a major financial investment for a group of women (and a drummer) living normal, mundane lives with limited expendable income.
As a result, we are asking our loyal fans and other lovers of pagan music to help us reach our goal of birthing our third album into the world. We are so close to releasing 22 new original chants and songs into the universe for the benefit of pagans and pagan ritual for many years to come. A mere $2600 will get us to our anticipated release date of Beltane 2019! And the sooner we reach our goal, the sooner we can start work on album 4. (Yes, we’re already collecting a lineup for album 4.)
To help us with a donation of any amount, visit our Crow Women GoFundMe campaign. There you’ll find some suggested gifts that we’d like to offer you for your generous donation, including downloads, CD’s, song sponsorships, cover art prints, and even the chance to have the Crow Women write a song for you!
As of today–March 12–we have raised almost $1,000. We’re about to incur the bills for mastering the album, and manufacturing it. I’m really pleased by the money that has been donated, and hope a few more funding faires and support sprites appear to share their magic and money.
