I have finished my Thanksgiving dinner with family and am now in the long process of making enough turkey soup to last a long time.
I make very good turkey soup….
The 22nd annual Woodchopper’s Ball benefit for the Homeless is done for this year, I’m off the road till Spring 2024 and only have a few local concerts left for this year. I have been getting reacquainted with my couch and am almost caught up on my yard work for the year.
I have had a VERY busy touring year, playing a LOT of festivals, concerts etc…and am looking forward to a busy 2024 too.
I’ve been working doing music therapy at a hospital rehab gym 3 days a week (when I’ve been in town) and am loving it. I’m playing instrumental acoustic guitar, completely unplugged and love the reactions from both staff and patients…I love to think that what I’m doing is healing for them and if it even helps just a little for them to go what they’re going through trying to heal, then that’s enough for me.
Mix time is booked towards finishing up my next album…It will be called “Between Heaven and Earth”.
I now, as always, spend part of my November and December time reflecting on the past year and well, my life in general…
I keep coming back to the conclusion that I am an incredibly lucky person and am so very grateful for the abundance of riches the Universe has bestowed upon me.
I am almost never sick, even with just a cold.
Looking around me at both the World in general and many of those close to me at the suffering I see…I know just how lucky I am.
I get to do my heart’s true desire for a living. Writing songs and instrumental compositions and getting to share them with all of you.
I know I’m loved and I LOVE my job!
I have had an amazing life.
Adversity? Hell yeah! Lots of it too.
The thing is…I have been able to not only survive all the truly horrible things that I’ve both caused myself and the things that life has thrown at me, but I have also somehow managed to come out of it all on my feet and being able to continue to make music.
I have been really and truly blessed.
I just want to say to all the Gods and Goddesses, the Universe and to all of you…Thank you, from the bottom and every inch of my heart….
Thank you…..
