On this page, we share our favorite places to hear the music of pagan artists, including those who blog on Pagan Song. We especially like Spotify–it’s easy to focus on a particular band you want to hear, and the playlists are excellent. On the internet and broadcast radio shows you get what the programmers have selected, but that’s a good way to be exposed to intriguing new artists and songs. Details of three stations that play our music are below. If you know of other sites with great pagan music programming, contact us and we’ll add them to this page.
Pagan Music on Spotify
Spotify is an excellent place to explore pagan music. There are thousands of playlists of pagan music about a wide range of themes and for different tastes in music. Check out the ones we’ve curated by seaching for playlists by Alane Brown. There are links to many of these playlists here on www.pagansong.com, such as Alane’s playlists for each Sabbat. She has many more you can discover on Spotify! (Please “follow” her.)
Many of the artists who blog here have an active presence on Spotify. For example, on the Crow Women’s band page on Spotify, all of the music we’ve released is there for you to play. We highly recommend that you visit the Crow Women Radio page, where Spotify generates a 50-song mix of Crow Women songs mixed in with tracks by similar artists. The same thing works with all artists on Spotify. It’s a great way to discover new bands that you’ll enjoy.
International Pagan Radio
“All Pagan, All the Time” is the motto at International Pagan Radio. Many of our writers are among the pagan bands played regularly on this internet station that runs 24/7. We enjoy listening to this station on our computers and smart devices–it’s fun to be introduced to the latest in pagan music by familiar bands and to make new discoveries.
When you go to the site, be sure to scroll down to the “IPR Top 20 Hottest Hits” section and type your favorite pagan band’s name into the request box. Choose one of their songs from their library. It will be played within an hour or so, plus that gets that song a vote for the monthly Top 20. This station is well-executed, with an enjoyable selection of pagan music. Recommended!
The Cauldron
The Cauldron is an internet radio station that plays an eclectic mix of music by pagan artists, including most of the muscians who write for the Pagan Song blog. They have a variety of special programs, as well. Their website is sponsored by the Circle of Ancient Sisters, Inc.
Murphy’s Magic Mess
This excellent program has been on the air on KZUM, Lincoln Nebraska since 1994. For two hours every Sunday morning, Phil Kessler & Nadine Murphy share pagan tunes from their vast library of pagan music. They play the most recent releases from pagan artists as well as rare vintage recordings that aren’t available through the music services. You can listen online from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sundays, Central time. (That’s 7 Pacific, 8 Mountain, 10 Eastern.) Or if you have a smart speaker, say to it; “play KZUM”, and it’ll play the station live through TuneIn. You can also play past shows on the playlist page.
The current host of MMM is Phil Kessler. He’s one of our bloggers! Check our his blog posts about pagan radio:
