A Harmony of Roses, part 3

This is the final post in the “Harmony of Roses” series. Cecilia M. Farran offers her thoughts about life, illustrated by music by her daughter Celia Farran. If you’d like to start from the beginning, installment 1 is here.

Science tells us it is no surprise that music heals. According to Dr. Barbara Fredrickson with BioMed Central Psychology [10]; Music helps build one’s personal resources to deal with difficult experiences. It helps in personal transformation with a better understanding of situations. Music helps a person be better able to be creative, to understand and face up to difficulties. It can increase positive effects and can therefore be considered as a step forward in personal transformation.”

Not only does music enable personal growth, it leads us to our spirit and just plain makes us feel good. Musicians, my daughter Celia among them, intuitively know that the soul resonates with the harmony of the spheres and that music lifts us beyond the tangled grasp of the weeds of wetiko.

Celia speaks of her dedication to music:

“I knew I wanted to be a musician when I got goosebumps for the very first time.  I was a small child (age 4) watching my older brothers (Marty & Brian age 8 and 10) play a concert with their banjo and guitar while singing harmonies. I knew at that moment what I wanted to do with my life.  I wanted to give people goosebumps.

“After dedicating my life to music and creativity I now understand the healing power of it all.  Sound is vibration.  Vibration is frequency.  Creating resonance with certain frequencies changes energy which changes everything.   Music is alchemy.  And that is what I love so much about what I do.

“Thank you to all the musical magicians who change energy with notes, tone, timbre, frequency, words, pitch, rhythm, and sound.  I am honored to be among you. If you know a musician, thank them. Celebrate their work. We need music, now more than ever.”

A Playlist of Spiritual Support

Please Bless This Space

Please bless this space
This sanctuary
All around. Below. Above.
Please bring us peace & protection.
May all who enter be nourished with love.

Alleluia. Amen. Aho, Blessed Be, Allow it in.
Alleluia. Amen. Aho, Blessed Be, So it is.

I’m Letting Go

I’m Letting Go of the old.
I’m Letting Go to let more love in.
I release my old beliefs. I release to bring more peace in.
I’m relaxing into darkness to celebrate the morning after.
I’m emptying, surrendering, I’m trembling into laughter.

I’m cleaning out the closets. I’m opening the doors.
I’m leaving this island for friendlier shores.
Halleluia. Oh Halleluia.

I’m Letting Go of the old.
I’m Letting Go to let more love in.
I release my old beliefs. I release to bring more peace in.
I’m relaxing into darkness to celebrate the morning after.
I’m emptying, surrendering, I’m trembling into laughter.

Album: For The Asking

Slow it Down Some

A jaunty little number set to the clip clop beat of an Amish horse and buggy.

Sometimes I wish
Sometimes I wish
That we could all become Amish and slow it down some.
And Slow It Down some
And Slow It Down.

Sometimes I pray
Sometimes I pray
That all the worries melt away
To Slow It Down Some.
To Slow It Down.

Where are you hurrying off to?
Where is the fire? Where’s the race?
Would be it be such a tragedy
To drop anchor for the state of grace?

Last night I dreamed
Last night I dreamed
I threw a wrench in the machine
To Slow It Down Some.
To Slow It Down.

Ahhhhhhhhhh

Sometimes I wish
Sometimes I wish
That we could all become Amish to slow it down some.
To slow it down.

We Are Enough

I am enough.
You are enough.
We are enough.
Just in that we are.

I am enough. I am more than enough.
I am luminous and radiant. I am.
I have enough. I have more than enough.
I am worthy and deserving just in that I am.
I am. I am. I am.
Just in that I am.

You are enough. You are more than enough.
You are wanted and important. You are.
You have enough. You have more than enough.
You are perfect pure abundance. Just in that you are.

You are. You are. You are.
Just in that you are.

And We Are Enough. And We are Beautiful.
And We Are Enough. Just in that We Are.

I am enough. You are enough.
We are enough. Just in that we are.

Album: Karma

“KARMA” is Red-Headed, Capricorn, “Everyday Goddess” music empowering the heartbroken to heal beyond the story. Sometimes sassy yet always sincere Celia pulls no punches & “sings it like it is directly into the listener’s soul. Who among us has not felt hurt or betrayed at some point on our path? Love is the journey. Beyond pain there is peace & there will be ‘Unconditional Roses’.”

Grieving the Dream

I am grieving my dream.
Nothing was quite what it seemed.
And it’s over now. It’s over now.
Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye.

I am dismantling my desires.
Farewell to miscreants and liars.
And it’s over now. It’s over now.
Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye.

There’s a little bitty girl deep inside of me,
Desperately needed to be seen.
So long betrayed. So long asleep.
Trapped in the temple with forgers and thieves.

In the past I would polish up my pride.
Fabricate fierce fortresses and hide.
And that’s over now. I’ll get through somehow.
Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye.

There’s a little bitty girl deep inside of me.
Desperately wanted to believe.
Could only see what she wanted to see.
Obsessed with the pulse of a promise that could never be.

And now it’s time to let go of impossible plans.
Time to wake up. Stop building on quicksand.
Time to step back, take a good look around.
Listen and embrace the silent sounds of
Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye.

Ah, ah, Ah ah.

Now I see through the web of the dream.
Spun by charlatans and schemes.
And that’s over now. I reclaim my power.
Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye.

Album: LETTING GO

Surrender

Surrender. Surrender. Surrender. Surrender……
Let Go. Let Go…..

Let it all go and embrace your purpose.
Breathe in the light and accept your power.
Release it all to the highest goodness.
Receive the love in every waking hour.
Receive the love in every waking hour.

Receive the love. Receive the love…..

Surrender. Surrender. Surrender. Surrender……
Let Go. Let Go…..

“Surrender” by Celia Farran (c) Red Granite Goddess Publishing/ASCAP 2015, available on Bandcamp here.

A Final Word to All

Expect some stumbles. Sometimes more than you would like. Pick yourself up.  Be kind to yourself. Walk the garden path past self- judgment, past shame, fear, anxiety. Like a rose Be Here Now to bloom unconditionally, in harmony among life’s rocks.

From My Porch

The slant of morning shadows has shifted overhead. The playlist now silent. Pen set aside Journal closed. My teacup empty.

Knowing I cannot entertain two wolves at a time I have chosen which one to feed. Wetiko wanted me to believe struggle against a raging river would gain me serenity.  It whispered that a barren stone path was all there was to a rose garden. I went into and through the illusion.

I have taken back my sovereignty. Ive done my work for the day.

I believe I will now go for a walk through the garden and down along the river. Just to prove to myself that the Anarchy of Wetiko needs die. I check in, that for today at least, the roses are there to love me, unconditionally, as they twine in harmony round the rocks.

There will be Roses. Unconditional Roses. In the Rocks”

Celia’s Blessing

Peace Be with You in this moment
Peace Be with You now.
All around, above, below.
Peace, Serenity, and Love.

May you receive the sweet perfumed Harmony of Unconditional Roses
even if sometimes they bloom among the rocks.
– Celia Farran
