About Cecilia the Elder

King of the Sidewalk,” a solo show written and performed by Cecilia The Elder honoring the life struggles and alcoholic death of her son, Banjo Marty,  featuring his banjo and his story.

As a word artist, Cecilia M. Farran finds peace and inspiration at Taralir (Earth Song), her home in a pine forest along the Wisconsin River near Spring Green, Wisconsin.  She writes and performs stories to nourish the human spirit.  Venues vary from concert halls, to spiritual events, to candlelit house concerts and farm and earth blessings on the land. It’s been said of her that “she is one heck of a storyteller.”  She reminds us that every story has a deeper story hidden in our hearts.

Cecilia is the mother of the Pagan Songstress Celia Farran. Cecilia’s blog posts here on Pagan Song offer a unique perspective on the music created by her beloved daughter, whose own posts on Pagan Song are collected on the Celia Farran author page.
