Dark Goddess Medley

Credits:

Dark Goddess Medley is track 5 on Crow Goddess, the Crow Women’s first album. You can purchase the track here via Bandcamp. Carole, a beloved crone in our circle, sings lead at the beginning of the track. The other singers are Alane, Anna, Deb, Donamarie, Donna, Melanie & Rebekah. We learned this song in a chant workshop at a Mabon festival in the 90s from Anie. It’s wonderful for fire circles, but a little tricky, so we often teach the arrangement in our “13 Chants for the Dark Goddess” chant workshop. Hecate, Cerridwen is © Patricia Witt. We don’t know who wrote Down We Go or Queen of Darkness, but if you know that, please contact us.

Lyrics

Hecate, Cerridwen
Dark mother, take us in
Hecate, Cerridwen
Let us be reborn

Down we go to the realms below
We bring with us our light to show
Up we rise with the dark in our eyes
We bring to light our piece of the night

Hey-oh, hey-oh-hey
Queen of Darkness, Ancient Hecate
Wheel a’turning, caludron stirring, stirring

Astrology for Samhain 2019

I’m glad to be here on Pagan Song with my beloved friends the Crow Women, and pleased to offer you my thoughts about astrology for Samhain. Final harvest, cooling temps, a last feast, a definite feeling of joy and comradeship but also a knowing that big things are coming. Ritual...
