Sing Up the Stone

Credits:

Alane Crowomyn wrote this song in honor of the stone circle at Ardantane Pagan Learning Center. We were working magically with the beautiful sandstone at Ardantane, and Alane had a vision of the people and the stones adopting one another as family. This idea is emphasized in the song by the way all the different melody lines come together on the words “one family”. Sing Up the Stone is track 15 on Crow Goddess. You can download the track digitally here, on Bandcamp.

Lyrics:

Sing up the stone, one family
Heave up the stone, one family
Bring up the stone, one family
Weave up the stone, one family

Flesh and stone, rock and bone, one family

Welcome into the family of flesh people, one family
Take us into the family of stone people, one family

Sing up the stone, one family
