How many of us as magic practitioners are asked to do a love spell? How many of us have cast one for our own desires or the needs of a friend?
I suspect there are more of us who know better than that. I’d like to hope so.
I had to learn about the follies of love spells the hard way. In my youth, I had a friend who was extremely lonely and wanted love in their life. I took it upon myself to cast what was to be my first “deeply researched and specifically constructed” spell to bring a lover to this person. Amusingly, (or perhaps not) it worked very well…….it also backfired, and I ended up being the lover.
What I learned was that Love Magic is something that you generate yourself, for yourself, by yourself. It cannot be done for, or to, someone else.
Manipulation of Love Magic this way has unpredictable, possibly injurious outcomes.
Compelling another’s desires without their knowledge and consent is at least rude if not in direct violation to Free Will, a sacred power to this Warlock. No one is going to benefit well from it in the end, even with the best intentions. We all know where THAT road leads. (lol)
Love Magic is amazing, but as I said, it is a solitary power. It cannot be used on or transferred to someone else.
It has been my experience that if it is needed, you must conjure it within yourself first, for something that you value. You allow yourself to love something deeply and honestly, investing your personal energy and focus into it. Once your love magic is invested, this point of focus will reflect that power, radiating an aura that will attract anyone aware of it. Once they are attracted, then you determine whether they are worthy of trusting with such a precious part of yourself.
Love Magic can supply you with a huge amount of power that you can use to transform yourself into something that you know is within you. Often, there are things that lie hidden within us that we won’t allow to come into power for reasons of fear, intimidation, or abusive treatment.
Love Magic can give us a bravery, a daring, an aggressive drive to overcome obstacles that block our true selves or intentions.
As I said, Love Magic only works on, and for you. That means you must cast it on yourself. This may not be easy for some of you, but please know that personally, I understand and relate to you. It has taken me many years of partially committing to self-love before I learned to perceive the limitations that affect everything when I try to apply that partial commitment to anything else.
You must have some form of honest love for yourself if you wish to wield it in any way.
Accepting yourself, in ALL your Light and Shadow, is the key. The more truthful you are to yourself, the more power you will have. Self-transparency is the main ingredient for the Perfect Love Spell. If you know who you truly are, you can transform yourself into whatever you need to be.
While Perfect Love has great transformational power, it cannot change you into something that you are not. It can, and most often will, change you into more of what you are. That kind of transformation carries an energy of Perfect Truth which is what makes you attractive to others. When you manifest your True Self, it is expressed in your actions. When those actions are fueled by your Perfect Self Love, that love is transferred to others which pulls them to you.
Humans either crave or fear Truth. When you know your Perfect Truth and you possess Perfect Love for it, that power has an intense affect one way or the other. There is no middle ground. You put out a signal that cannot be unnoticed.
There is a high probability that a good match for your Truth will come to you when you are broadcasting so honestly. If you know your Shadow side well enough, then when you meet someone who is the perfect foil for your darker side, you’ll see it clearly. Chances are, they will see it too, so there is a potential for growth and mutual development between two possibly different entities. Having a partner who knows you, and has your back when you are not at your best is a great blessing. When you find a partner like that, treat them well and honour them every day.
To summarize all this, Love Magic is extremely powerful and needs to be handled with a clear mind and honesty. You cannot be under any deception either of yourself, or another. When wielded out of desperation, selfishness, or hedonistic indulgence, the resulting acquisition will not have a satisfying outcome. Without Perfect Truth, Perfect Love cannot exist, and no Magic in the Realms will make it work.
So, if you wish to work Love Magic, work it on yourself. Love you, all of you. Indulge your Light, validate and shelter your Shadow. Honour your strengths by using them as much as you can. Acknowledge your Shadows by protecting them. Hear them. Let them feel safe in your heart. Then, they will not feel the need to separate from you to find value. This is how you manifest Perfect Love. If you do this for yourself, it will pour from your hands onto whatever you touch. Others will feel it, and reflect it back.
If we all carry this Love Magic, in every opportunity possible, so much growth and evolution is available for Humanity. Mental Health quality alone could see a boon from the lack of stress. Depression could be treated as a simple form of physical, chemical imbalance as opposed to a political, cultural, or other external cause.
We can do this.
Cast Your Spell
The spell is cast with warm, clean water, a pinch of salt, and a suitable tub to put it in. Music, incense, gentle lighting, and a cell phone with the silent switch activated add extra strength to the invocation.
Place a small dish with some little edible treat of choice near the tub, safe from splashing.
After assembling all this, strip down to sky clad status. Close your eyes for a moment and feel the air on your true form. Speak to yourself in Perfect Truth these words: “I am Enough”.
Let those words sink into your soul as you sink into the tub. Once relaxed in the water, conjure as much of your identity as you can, both Light and Dark. Affirm with each aspect, those three words of power, “I am Enough”. Do this for as long as you are comfortable staying in the water.
When you feel ready to rise from the Waters of Perfect Truth, do so carefully.
Eat your treat to ground while allowing your body to air dry rather than towel off if temperature permits.
Cast this spell as often as you wish. Keep casting even when you feel like you don’t need to. You can even cast it using your imagination if getting wet isn’t feasible at that moment.
There is never a bad time to re-establish your existence in this realm and do it with Perfect Truth and Love. It’s “Leap Year” right now. Go ahead and take one!
