About Eileen Hazel

I am a singer, songwriter, and leader of community song circles. I am an ordained priestess of the Temple of Aphrodite Oakland, a long time member of the Reclaiming pagan community, and an all around garden-variety witch! I have written, co-written, performed on and/or co-produced quite a few of Reclaiming’s recent musical releases.

After many years of singing, composing, and performing, I’ve discovered my deepest love in community singing (something we often do in pagan ritual). The joy and deep connection found in singing together deeply feed my soul.

In the last few years, my connection to the Muse has opened in new ways. Many of the songs flowing through me now are created for community singing—meant to be shared, experienced, and sung together.

Many of my songs are inspired by feeling into the sacredness in nature – the forest, the rivers, the mountains, the ocean.
