Born of the Elements Medley is track 1 on Crow Goddess, the Crow Women’s first album, released in 2006. You can purchase it here from our online store. Lead singer is Melanie Crowombin. Additional singers: Alane, Anna, Carole, Deb, Donamarie, Donna & Rebekah. This arrangement captures what we and our friends sound like when singing a chant overlay at a fire circle at a pagan festival. We offer workshops and retreats that teach participants these (and other) chants and how to create this kind of musical magic. If you’re interesed in booking us, please use our contact us page.

Song lyrics:

Earth my body, Water my blood
Air my breath and Fire my spirit

I am born of the elements
I am born of the elements

Mother of Darkness, Mother of Light
Earth beneath us, soul in flight
Songs of love and love of life
Guide us to our hearts

Earth my body, soil and sand
Make me strong in heart and hand
Water my blood, flowing strong
Aid me with your healing song
Air my breath, blowing true
Let my life take flight in you
Fire my spirit, burning bright
Lead from darkness into light

We all come from the Goddess
And to her we shall return
Like a drop of rain
Flowing to the ocean

Hoof and horn, hoof and horn
All that dies shall be reborn
Corn and grain, corn and grain
All that falls shall rise again

Isis, Astarte, Diana, Hecate
Demeter, Kali, Inanna

A Beautiful Crone

Ritual to Celebrate the Crone: Ending Menopause

Crone. Hag. Witch. To modern pagans and wiccans, these are honorifics, not insults. A pagan woman spends her whole lifetime becoming a crone, and by Goddess, she deserves a ritual worthy of that investment! I’ve been planning my Croning for nineteen years, which is all the more amusing considering...
