Crow Lullaby

Credits:

This rite of passage song was created for ceremonies to bless newborns. Alane Crowomyn wrote Crow Lullaby for crowsister Shannon. The Crow Women sang it for the wiccaning of Shannon’s baby girl, a moving experience. Shannon sings lead on the track. The other singers are Alane, Carole, Deb, Judith, Marilyn, Melanie, Molly and Tara. You can get this track here–it’s track 6 on Crow Magic.

Lyrics:

Oh…
Bless you, baby
Welcome to life, full of delight
Bless you, baby
This blessing charm keeps you from harm
Oh my baby, how I love you
Oh, baby, how we love you

Goddess bless you
Light of the moon encircle you
Old gods bless you
Light of the sun warm you, dear one
Oh my baby, how I love you
Oh, baby, how we love you

Goddess bless you
May sacred song lift you along
Old gods bless you
May strength of will purpose fulfill
Oh my baby, how I love you
Oh, baby, how we love you

Bless you, baby
You are my heart here in my arms
Bless you, baby
You’re safe in my crow lullaby
Oh…
